Dianatal® Obstetric Gel is used for treatment during vaginal birth, in order to ease vaginal birth for mother and child and to take care of the pelvic floor and the perineum.

Dianatal® Obstetric Gel is a gel specially developed to ease vaginal birth, which is highly bioadhesive and has a high water-binding capacity. In this way Dianatal® Obstetric Gel forms a lubricating film on the vaginal birth canal and reduces the friction between the mother and the child which can impede birth.  

Dianatal® Obstetric Gel is sterile, non-allergenic and is well tolerated by mucous membranes and eyes.

Dianatal® Obstetric Gel is used to: 

• ease vaginal birth for mother and baby by reducing the friction which impedes birth in primiparous and multiparous women, after a Caesarean section, in water births, in premature births, after rupture of the membranes.
• treat protracted deliveries
• make vaginal operative procedures easier
• protect the perineum in vaginal births
• make manual placenta separation easier

Dianatal® Obstetric Gel can be used both in primigravidas and also in multigravidas, in status post Caesarean section and in births completed by vaginal operative procedures.
